Enes Kanter hasn’t exactly tried his best to make friends with the Turkish government. The New York Knicks’ big man has been an outspoken critic of his home nation’s president, Tayyip Erdogan, going as far to call him the “Hitler of our country” and earning four years in Turkish prison after being tried in absentia.

It turns out that Kanter’s legal troubles are not finished yet, as the Knicks’ big man is facing more charges for speaking out against another member of Erdogan’s government. This time, it’s former NBA player Hedo Turkoglu, who is an advisor to Erdogan and serves as the president of the Turkish Basketball Federation, according to Eurohoops.net.

An indictment was filed on the grounds that Kanter has “insulted Turkoglu more than once on different dates”, per the report by Sabah.

The Istanbul Cyber Crimes Investigation Bureau prepared the indictment which is based on “humiliating and hurtful messages” made by Kanter against Turkoglu on his social media.

Like the previous charges levied against Kanter regarding statements about the Turkish government, these will lead to him being tried in absentia. Kanter appeared to tweet about the incident after the word of the charges dropped.

Additionally, after the word of his new round of legal trouble, Kanter retweeted a video he did with Salon in which he spoke about, among other things, Turkey’s government. Among other things, Kanter said “If I step outside America, just one step, they can do whatever they want to do. I might never be able to go back to my country. Maybe, you never know … I am trying to be the voice of all those innocent people.”
